In our last blog post, we shared the exciting news that the CIS Learning Center is transitioning to a new platform powered by Docebo. Today, we're sharing some of the features and capabilities that have us most excited about the future of the CIS Learning Center.
One of the reasons CIS selected Docebo is its focus on creating a modern, user-friendly learning experience. While we're still building and customizing the new platform, we want to highlight a few of the improvements that we believe will make learning and administration easier, more flexible, and more effective for our members.
The improvements highlighted below will become available as members transition to the new platform. The transition will take place in phases, with a pilot launch planned for early 2027 and the broader member rollout continuing through mid-2027. Here’s a look at the anticipated timeline:

1. Easier Navigation
The new platform is designed to make finding training simpler and more intuitive. Whether you're completing required training, pursuing professional development opportunities, or searching for a specific course, the experience is built to help learners find what they need quickly and with less effort.
2. Improved Search
Finding the right training should be easy. Enhanced search capabilities will make it simpler to locate courses, resources, and learning opportunities, helping learners connect more quickly with the information they need.
3. Better Reporting
The new platform also provides expanded reporting capabilities. These tools will help administrators and training coordinators gain better insight into learning activity, track progress, and support workforce development efforts across their organizations.
4. Administrative Improvements
One of the features we're most excited about is the platform's enhanced administrative experience. The new system offers stronger organization management tools and more flexibility for administrators to create learning plans, courses, and classes tailored to their workforce needs. Additional capabilities, such as observational checklists, resource libraries, and video sharing, will make it easier to support learning and development across your organization. The platform also includes an AI-powered assistant designed to help administrators navigate tasks, answer questions, and access step-by-step guidance when needed.
This expanded set of tools will give organizations greater control over their learning programs while making it easier to deliver relevant training, share resources, and support employee development.
Behind the scenes, our team is working closely with Docebo to configure the platform, migrate content, and create a learning experience that reflects the needs of Oregon's cities and counties. Over the coming months, we'll continue sharing updates, previews, and resources to help members prepare for the transition.
Together, we're building the next generation of the CIS Learning Center.
